who we are...

SCCFA, incorporated in 2003, is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-political and non-governmental organisation staffed entirely by volunteers.

We are focused on providing education and support to young abject victims of poverty.

Our aim is to empower marginalised young Cambodians by providing education and support necessary for them to improve their lives.

- raise funds for education development and support services projects in Cambodia

- provide support to Cambodian children who are unable to access schooling

- offer educational resources and support to disadvantaged youths

- connect children in rural Cambodia with communities both in Australia and other regions of Cambodia

The SCCFA works in conjunction with local partners in Cambodia to educate and empower children who are subject to forced labour, exploitation and sex work, whilst being ignorant of the likelihood of infection through HIV/AIDS, and being deprived of their basic human rights.

The ultimate aims of SCCFA are to, through our local partners, facilitate the children and their families to take control of their lives and enable them to successfully stand on their own two feet through a range of programs.

Our ongoing project has been to construct a school in Palin which is one of the most poverty stricken areas of Cambodia. It is the most sustainable asset/resource that can be shared around without impoverishing the givers. In fact, the more you share it the more it grows.

The lack of school facilities in Palin forces nearly 50% of school aged children to stay at home, or to join the workforce in order to support their family's basic needs.

SCCFA conduct charitable fundraising and awareness activities all year round both in Australia and Cambodia.

These events help to enhance and promote SCCFA’s profile and raise awareness of the bleak future that these disadvantaged children would otherwise be facing.

Our annual concerts are one of the most vital sources of income we have and provides the base funding for all of our projects and activities.

Every child deserves to have aspirations and a loving childhood. Your donation will enable SCCFA to offer that glimpse of hope and to change the life of a child by saving them from falling into the chasm of poverty and prostitution.
